Farrellake Lab's goal is to work to producing one of the most wonderful breeds in the world today. The purpose of the Labrador Retriever as a Retriever, breeding only from good dogs of temperament who illustrate the Labrador Retriever breed standard. For the purpose of hunting companions and family friends.

We breed only from dogs that are x-rayed clear of Hip Dysplasia, certified by Orthopedic Foundation for Animals, Inc. (OFA).

Welcome to our family Farm located between Drumheller and Hanna, Alberta just off of highway 9. Besides raising Labrador Retrievers we have cattle and horses.

Labradors are a wonderful long time family friend that have found a special place in our home. We have primarily focused on producing Chocolate Labrador Retrievers for now. For your own interest, Chocolate Labradors come originally from yellow background.

CKC Recognized Breed:
The Background breeding of the Labrador Retriever may never be established, but it is safe to assume that the breed's ancestors were taken to Newfoundland by explorers, fishermen, and settlers from England, Europe, and Norway. Thus the dogs, which subsequently were thought to be native to Labrador and Newfoundland, were in all probability the descendants of dogs left there in early years.
